Friday, December 14 at 6pm for paper, 11:59pm online
Don’t miss those deadlines to apply for next Fall’s CPS programs. It is free to apply (and free to test for Selective Enrollment programs) but your application must be RECEIVED by the deadline (not postmarked by)! You cannot scan & email paper applications so plan to mail earlier or drop off in person downtown by 6pm.
CPS applications can be accessed via Go.CPS.edu. Instructions are also found on https://cps.schoolmint.net/signup and for those who do not have a CPS Student ID, you must use a Paper application to apply to CPS Elementary and High School programs by the Dec. 14 deadline.
Visit Go.CPS.edu to apply to:
- Four CPS Magnet preschool programs (Drummond, Suder, Mayer & Inter-American)
- Over 400 elementary schools, either Selective Enrollment (test based, rank up to 6, single offer) or Choice (lottery based including magnet, open enrollment & magnet cluster, apply up to 20, multiple offers) and
- Over 100 high schools, either Selective Enrollment (test based & points, rank up to 6, single offer) or Choice (lottery or points based, rank up to 20, single offer including magnet, IB, military, CTE programs).
Programs may have different application components that can be fulfilled after the deadline, like attending admissions screenings (info sessions, entrance exams, etc) but all pre-scheduling must be done by the Dec. 14 deadline. Those applying by paper will be assigned screening dates.
Non-CPS students applying to CPS for 5th-9th grade and interested in selective programs need to register for the qualifying January MAP test by 12/14/18. Read more HERE.
Applicants cannot add any additional school choices after Dec. 14, but can change their school rankings until Feb. 1, 2019.
